How it began
How we started
In Safe Hands Companionship was founded after our founder, Sarah, witnessed first-hand how isolating life can become for elderly people living alone. Watching a close family member go days without meaningful conversation — despite being surrounded by a loving family — made it clear that good intentions aren't always enough.
Sarah set out to create something different: a companionship service built on genuine relationships, not just task completion. A service where the same familiar face turns up every week, where conversations are unhurried, and where clients feel truly seen and valued.
Today, In Safe Hands Companionship serves families across South Norfolk, matching carefully vetted companions with elderly adults who simply want a little more connection in their lives.
